Felix Hilario was born on June 21, 1946 in Big Spring, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2017.
Growing up, Felix was very athletic and he played varied sports. Among his favorite pastimes was watching the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs in addition to spending quality time with family. He will be remembered as always having a friendly, positive attitude, a never-ending faith that things would always get better. He lives up to nicknames such as Hilarious-Hilario and Felix the Cat, he's always trying to make everyone feel at home and loved to leave everyone with a laugh.
Felix enlisted in the U.S. Army on Feb, 1, 1973 and served at several posts including Ft. Huachuca, AZ, Ft. Hood, TX, and Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. During his service, Felix was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Felix was preceded in death by his step-father Luis Ramirez, mother Isabel Ramirez, sister Josephine Calderon, and brother Richard Hilario. He is survived by sisters Mary Alice Bonilla, Ruth Calderon, Louise Ramirez, Lisa Rodriguez; brother John Hilario, daughters Cynthia Cortez and Jewels Rio, grandson Christopher Hilario, and great-granddaughter Lina Hilario.
