"El Toñe" Antonio Lopez was born January 5, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas, to Adela DeLeon Lopez and Ernesto "Neno" Lopez and now joins brothers in the home, where someday, we will all meet again. A journey from the poor side of town, yet closer to home.
Tony was fortunate to grow up when grooving was grooving. He loved music. Then came the Beatles and Rolling Stones with their British Invasion and Love & Peace Revolution. A Day in the Life and Time Waits for No One...Now he’s Knocking on Heaven’s Door.
Imagine peace. El Toñe was an avid reader who was mostly interested in Biography and Documentaries. Comedies were his favorite because he believed that laughter was the medication to the soul. He also loved to jog, do push-ups, sit-ups and jump rope, just like the professionals do. His favorite place was Woodlawn Lake.
Antonio is preceded in death by his father Ernesto "Neno" Lopez and brothers Eugene Lopez, Jose Ernesto Lopez "El Perico", Danny Lopez and Victor "Coy" Garcia, all whom are there to welcome him home.
