A Message to our Communities

COVID-19 Updates and Information

Our top priority is the health and safety of the families we serve and our employees.  Meadowlawn continues to be open to serve the community with additional precautions being taken to adhere to CDC recommendations as well as Mayor of San Antonio and Governor of Texas requirements regarding gatherings and social distancing.

All services will be private until further notice, and Meadowlawn will offer Live Streaming video services to families at no additional cost.

We want to assure you that Meadowlawn is taking proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any potential illness.  Guidance from the San Antonio City Department of Health Services, along with WHO and CDC recommendations, are being closely monitored to ensure as safe an environment as possible throughout our facilities and grounds:

  • Regular cleaning and disinfection of all areas, including special attention to high-touch areas and items such as faucets, door handles, chairs, common areas, and restrooms.
  • Frequent hand washing protocol is observed by our staff and encouraged for all visitors.
  • Hand sanitizer has been conveniently placed throughout our facilities.
  • We encourage avoidance of hand shaking and other physical contact, preferring a smile or kind words in this time of social distancing.
  • Guests that are experiencing ill symptoms such as cough, fever, or difficulty breathing or who have come in contact with someone experiencing those symptoms, are asked to not visit our facilities in person, including the cemetery grounds, at this time.
  • Employees who show similar symptoms have been instructed to remain at home for their health and for the safety of the families we serve.
  • All immediate need arrangements and pre-planning arrangements are encouraged to be completed by phone, email, and/or video conference with in-person Immediate arrangements limited to one family member (all others may join by conference call or video) and by appointment only.
  • The cemetery is currently only able to accommodate direct burial services to avoid gatherings.
