Alfonso Sylvester Charles, Jr.

Alfonso S. Charles, Jr. was born in Colon, Panama on August 23, 1951 to Alfonso S. Charles, Sr. and Thelma Charles. He was the eldest of 5 sons. He is Survived by his wife Lesbia Charles, his 7 children, Danielle(David), Kesha, Jamel(Heather), Jamar, Jabari, Jamaal and Rakim. Five grandchildren, David, Jr., Tatiana, Jahnaya, Tiarah and Matthew. Five brothers, Mario, Cecilio(Crystal), Guillermo, Rogelio(Annie), Rolondo. Sisters, Jilma, Oriana, Zuleika and Malayka. Alfonso served in the military for 10 years. Once he got out of the military his career then involved working with children. His last place of employment was with the John H. Wood, Jr. Charter School where he touched the lives of many of the students there. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, a host of Nieces and Nephews and family and friends.
