Alice Mae Johnson was born in Sweetwater, Alabama on January 24, 1943. She was the daughter of the late J.C. Johnson and Elmira Williams. Alice united with the family of the late Commer and Katie Williams at an early age, whereby she was baptized and later became a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama. She moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1967. Alice was a restored aide nurse at Arms of Mercy Nursing Home for 16 years until her illness. She leaves to cherish her memories her two children; daughter, Tracey Columbus and son Melvin (Yvette) Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Melvin Jr., Shardea, Brittany Johnson of San Antonio, Texas, and Derius Jackson of Goodwater, Alabama; one great grandson, Jyvontae Johnson of San Antonio, Texas. She was blessed with three additional grandchildren; Tasha, Shonda and Derek Burleson, all of San Antonio, Texas. She was blessed with 10 sisters and brothers; Lula Mae, Willie and Johnny Johnson preceded her in death. Also, Mary White of Sweetwater, Alabama; Nettie Poellnitz of Cincinnati, Ohio; Amos Adams of Moblile, Alabama, Joe Easley of Sweetwater, Alabama, John Easley of Cincinnati, Ohio, Emma Black of Selma, Alabama, Ida Scott of Thomasville, Alabama. God also blessed Alice with 13 additional brothers and sisters: Commer, Jr. and Anthony Williams preceded her in death. James Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada, Gwendolyn Murphy, Brenda Duncan and Cynthia Williams of Houston, Texas, and Rickey Williams of San Antonio, Texas; Carl Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jacqueline Broils of San Antonio, Texas, Sheila White of Coral Springs, Florida, Eric Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Lemar Williams of Oakland, California, Virginia Williams of San Antonio, Texas; her special friends, Margaret Brown and Gloria Duncan and her provider aide Manuela Gutierrez and a host of other relatives and friends.
