Andrea Yvonne Aycock, age 57, passed away May 4, 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea; grandson, Sean Patrick; seven siblings, Patrice, Lisa, Margot, Micheline, Carmela, Shirley, Elmo; nieces, Vanessa, Catherine, Nina; nephews, Anthony Jr., and Phillip.
Growing up over the years she was her siblings second mama. Andrea always looked out for their wellbeing and reminded them of the rules. She always cooked delicious meals for anyone who asked, and if there was anything they needed, she was eager to help. Andrea played school with her siblings growing up and studied to become a teacher. She received a bachelor’s in education with a specialization in Reading. Andrea then went on to earn another certification in Early Childhood Education. For 24 years she had a passion for teaching and her students and co-workers loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed.

OOO so many memories…when I needed to have fun and laugh I made my way to her room!! SHE always had me laughing and smiling! what a beautiful soul she always had!!! Andrea you are already missed and will always be loved..fly fly and be the beautiful angel you are!!!!
Andrea was my teaching partner for many years at Foster Elementary. We looked out for each other – shared good times and bad, supported each other in our personal and work lives, bragged and bitched about our crazy loving families, complained about the lack of good men in the world outside our family members (LOL). The world will be a little worse off because you are not in it anymore. You are loved and will be missed. But those that knew and loved you know that you are in a beautiful place now. Your smile is spreading joy in heaven! Until I see you again, Rest In Peace, my friend.
