Angela Marie Berry

angela berry
Angela, meaning HEAVENLY MESSENGER We, family, friends and all that knew her have all been blessed to have shared time and space with such a beautiful kind and loving soul in the form of Angela Marie Berry (Bellinger). Never has anyone given so much of themselves and ask for so little. Those who knew her remember her as a selfless woman of strong faith with a will and a desire to live for the Lord. “Life isn’t worth living if you haven’t touched at least one person.” words Angela lived by. Her legacy will not only live on through her daughter Marisa and husband Charles but through the lives she touched directly and indirectly through her ministry of caring for people and restoring their faith in themselves, God and humanity. Angela’s greatest gift was her love for helping people Angie worked for Child Protective Services, she liked what she did but said she wanted to do more, she wanted to do something that would change lives. She found her life’s career job at SAMMinistries. It’s what she cared about, even when she recently resigned from her job, she let them know she would be back to work on a volunteer basis because as she used to say, “I have to take care of my families.” God used her to bless so many people by her works or just by her presence and beautiful smile. Anything you ask of her she would do and do it in a grand fashion and with so much love. Ask anybody about her greens with extra ham hocks that she would put in for Michael or for the beans that she would love to cook for Pastor Martin It wasn’t just skill that made everything she cook taste good but it was the love she put in everything she did. The only thing she loved more was her family, her only child Marisa, and the love of her life, her husband of 29 years Chuckie, (as she would say). As a wife she was at every game and any event she could attend, always in the stands cheering the loudest, she made sure her family had breakfast in the morning and a full dinner in the evening, she loved preparing great meals for her family, this gave her great joy. Whether it was traveling to Austin for Calvin’s basketball games or going to see Abbie at Prairie view, or making Garmon and I yellow birthday cakes with chocolate frosting was something she did from time to time because that’s the cakes our mother use to make for us. She made us all feel special. Angie was a 3rd generation member of True Holiness Pentecostal Church where just like everything else in her life served faithfully as Bible Conference Chairman, Sunday School and Choir President but as a choir member no one could sing: Work It Out, Weeping May Endure For A Night, or Sweeping Through the City better than Angie. In high school Angie was a member of JROTC and the Cheroketts but when Pastor Bishop Wauls said “let the young people get involved, maybe it’ll help them saved” that’s exactly what she did. Angie started working for the Lord and never turned back. Our Angie loved the Lord, she loved serving the Lord and his people. People would always tell my sister, “when are you going to walk in your calling?” Angie walked in her calling every day, not with just words but in deeds, she loved helping God’s people, all God’s people. If you knew Angie, she wasn’t concerned with titles and being in the front, she was humble and didn’t care who knew what she did so long as the Lord was pleased. It was this faith and the love of the Lord that carried her through so many health challenges. She went through with a smile never complaining, never questioning even when we as a family questioned. Angie would always tell us, “this is the will of God concerning me.” Even while in the hospital the surgeons and medical staff would say how she uplifted them with her faith and spirit which they felt all in her room. When a prognosis was given, she said, “time is irrelevant to me, I could’ve been gone but if he takes me, I’m in a good place and I'm okay with it, it may be hard for my family to hear but I'm okay..” Angie spent her last weeks doing everything she loved to do, going with me to get our eyebrows done, picking up Chuck’s favorite steak dinner, going to church seeing family and loving on her daughter. God knew in his infinite wisdom what laid ahead and loved her too much to put her through anymore trials. She passed all her test, passed her final exam and graduated to glory. We will shed selfish tears because we will miss her love and warmth of her spirit and her awesome sense of humor and laughter, I will miss talking to her at least 4 times a day and our corny jokes, oh God how we would laugh all by ourselves. We will miss Angie but spiritually we are resolved knowing she made her peace calling and election sure. Angela Marie Berry was born September 13, 1966. She was the middle of three children born to Charles Anthony and Minnie Lee Bellinger. Angie was a graduate of The Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Angela’s parents Charles and Minnie Bellinger preceded her in death. Angela leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 29 years Charles S. Berry, her only child Marisa Montgomery, siblings Garmon G. Bellinger, and Josette Bellinger-Ivory (Michael) She will be greatly missed by her nephew Calvin A. McGhee, great niece Alaiya McGhee, niece Abbie Bellinger and Mykala Bellinger, employer SAMMinistries, cousins, relatives and all friends.

  26. Words cannot express my love for my oldest niece, Angela. During a recent visit we talked about our lives. She told me she always wanted to follow in my footsteps. The truth is I have wanted to be more like her. She had so much more boldness in her spiritual walk. She was a true warrior. Although she faced many health issues, she never let that stop her in sharing, helping, loving and of course, laughing. I can only imagine the shouting and the celebrations going on in heaven when she arrived. My niece is home now with Minnie, Charles, Mommy and her Uncle. Kiss my baby J for me. Love is forever ❤

  27. My Sincere Condolences to Min. Berry, Marisa, all of the family. May Jesus hold you up with His Mighty Strength and Power. May your hearts be comforted with the peace of Jesus Christ, in our continual prayers for all of you and time to come. Sis. Barry was a Pillar in The Body of Christ. The Great Anointing upon her life was magniflable. Her gifts were a Blessing to us all. A Tremendous Solider that kept the Faith. Less than a year ago, had seen The Glory of The Lord upon her and shared, what The Lord Blessed me to see with her after Service. She had told me she was and had been fasting, having a Great Time with Jesus, Joy Bells were ringing in her soul. She was Holding The Line with her Faith. That being my last conversation with her, has and will remain a Glorious Testimony in The Holy Ghost a Genuine Treasure in the Host of Testimonies. Sis. Berry didn’t need a organ, piano, drums or any instruments. With a great sum of them, they were all in her when she Gave God The Praise and Sang unto The Lord! She is so beloved and a very beautiful Saint inside and out. She will be forever missed.. I love her so and Praise The Lord Jesus Christ Sis. Angela Marie Barry was part of my life. Have many great memories and hold them dear to my heart. Tambra M. Pavlas
