Anthony Jayden Rogers

anthony rogers
Anthony Jayden Rogers was born on December 3, 2007 to Tony Sr. and Nakeisha Rogers in San Antonio, Texas. Anthony ran through the gates of Heaven on June 21, 2015. Although God only gave him to us for a short time, he touched the lives and hearts of everyone he came in contact with. In his short time here with us he struggled with illness as an infant and autism, but in doing so he always remained happy and determined. Anthony attended Langley Elementary, where he was a straight A student and was on his way to second grade. He loved cars, trucks, motorcycles, candy and ice cream. His favorite basketball player was Chris Paul and of course his big brother Tony Allen Rogers Jr. He enjoyed riding his bike, watching Curious George, dancing, singing and playing with his best friend Ali. When remembering this sweet, little angel that God granted us all the opportunity to know, remember to embrace life and live it to the fullest, love hard and unconditionally, but most of all stay happy even during the darkest times. Anthony leaves to cherish his sweet memory: his mother, Nakeisha Rogers; sister, Ariah Warner; grandparents, George Lee Rogers, Prince and Gwendolyn Wright, Andre and Regina Mitchell; great-grandparents, Inez Burl, Bernie and Louise Powers; as well as a host of relatives and friends who loved him with all of their hearts and who will miss him always.

  1. Prince Wright and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers and words cannot express how truly sorry I am for your overwhelming loss. This little angel is adorable. Kristin Sansone

  2. My name is Jaiden, and I am 15 years old. Although I do not know any of you personally, my heart was really moved and after reading about Anthony, it brought tears to my eyes.

I too have a special little brother who is now 6 and he means so much to me. I could not imagine the pain that you are know doubt experiencing.

I have lost family members and dear friends to me, and sometimes, grief can come on all of a sudden or overtime. But at times, it can be very hard to deal with.

Although many say that God took a child for a angel in heaven, God promises us something else. He says: “…all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…”- (John 5:28, 29)

Soon, you can have he hope of seeing Layla again, and we all can see our loved ones again.

I hope that this thought can provide you with comfort, as it has me.

    Have a great day.
