In loving memory of Anthony 'Tony' Reid, a Generous, Thoughtful, Selfless, Loving father, husband, brother, uncle, chef and most of all, everyone's friend. Tony left this world unexpectedly on December 21st, 2004 in San Antonio, Texas at the young age of 46. Tony was born the baby of a large family in Birmingham, England on January 20th, 1958, to William Anthony Reid and Mary Quinn Reid. Tony immigrated to the United States from England in 1978, living first in Colorado, and then moving permanently to Texas, where he spent his entire adult life. When he married Becki Fahle in late 1979 in Commerce, Texas, he was welcomed into another large boisterous family. After moving to Longview, Texas in the 1980's, he was hired by T.A. Kyser Co. (later Metron Technologies), for which he worked 15 years, first in the warehouse, later in sales in Waxahachie, and finally as Network Administrator for the enitre company, based out of Dallas. He was fond of fishing, cooking, and playing pool, as well as watching English comedies on public television. But most important to him was his family which he loved the world over. Tony is remembered and celebrated by his children, Tiffany Paige Reid, 24 ; Taylor Nicole Reid, 21; and William Anthony Reid, 18, all of San Antonio, Texas. Tony is also remembered and loved by: his sister Mary Reid of Birmingham, England. His sister, Ann Reid Snape and her husband Robert; each of Birmingham, England. His sister, Jean Reid Bellah and her husband James each of Long Beach, MS., USA. His brother William Reid of Coventry, England. His brother, Sean Reid of Denver, CO., USA. His brother Terence (Terry) Reid and his wife Maureen, each of Wolverhampton, England. His brother, Michael Reid, of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His parents-in-law, William A. and Patricia Braun Fahle of Austin, Texas. His brothers-in-law, John J. Fahle of San Antonio, William A. Fahle of Plano, Richard C. Fahle of Dallas, and Dale Bernard of Divide, Colorado. His sisters-in-law, Paula Fahle Bernard of Divide, Colorado; Deborah Nugent Fahle of Austin; Wendy Campagna Fahle of Plano; and Teresa Jones Fahle of Grand Prairie; and the significant others of his daughters, Shane Roberts and Charles Pinkston Jr., both of San Antonio, Texas. Tony is also remembered by more than 25 nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great- nephews, and cousins, here and abroad; and by more friends than anyone could hope to count. Tony was predeceased by his parents, his sister-in-law Rita Reid, and several of his nieces and nephews both here and abroad. 5. It was my fortune to work alongside Tony Reid for 15 years at Kyser Company. Tony was a brilliant co worker and a steadfast friend – he will be missed by many – Jean.

  6. Tiffany, Taylor and Bill, I was lucky enough to work with your Dad for many years and the one thing I know to be true is how much he loved you guys. Our Monday morning ritual was to discuss the latest you 3 and my 3 boys had been up to over the weekend. I miss those days so much and I miss your Dad. His name is still all over our computer system from when he set various things up and I left them as a reminder to me – now I’m even more glad I did that so a little piece of him still rules the systems at Kyser Company. He had such quick wit – I honestly can not think of one task ever given to Tony that he didn’t tackle with ease. No training, just “tell me what to do”. That’s all he needed, tell him once – steel trap Tony. Above all he was a good friend to many. Everytime there has been any get together someone always asks if any of us had heard from Tony. He will not be forgotten by any of us who knew him – we will remember and smile as we think of him barrelling down the hallways of Kyser Company – belting out orders – and we all did whatever he said! I’m so sorry I can’t make the trip to be there with you to say goodbye to this wonderful soul. Find peace knowing what a wonderful person your Dad is and how much he loved you. – Jean Benham

  7. Tony was the most dedicated father and a truly honest person who was never afraid to “tell it like it is”. I have many great memories of working with Tony and his ability to enjoy life.

  9. Tony was part of what made Kyser Company a family. He made me feel at home from the moment I walked in the door there. Family and friends were the most important thing to him and for either family or a friend, there is nothing that he wouldn’t have done. I will remember him always and miss him greatly. Tiffany, Shane, Taylor and Bill: my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I wish I could be there to put my arms around you and help you through this. As your dad was for me, know that I’ll always be there for you if you need anything. I love you all.

  10. Tony lived life fully, but not long enough. So sorry we couldn’t be there in person. We hope that the Tulips are well received. Our heartfelt sympathy is with all of you; we know how difficult loss can be. Bill, Wendy, Scott and Erin.

  12. At Kyser Co. or with Irish dance competitions, Tony made getting the job done a lot more fun! Rest in peace Turtle, I will always name a printer after you!

  13. I cannot begin to express my sorrow for the loss of Tony. I first met Tony while working for Parker Hannifin in Dallas. I always enjoyed his calls and it truly was a joy to work with him at Kyser. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Lauren

  14. Tony was a good person whom I enjoyed years of a working relationship with. This was a sudden, unexpected event that is sad. All the best Becki and the family.

  15. Tony was a loyal and dear friend. We, here in Longview have lots of fond memories of Tony. Our condolences to his family.

  16. It was very sad to hear about the passing of Tony. He was a true friend and a joy to work with at Kyser and Metron. Tony alway’s made me feel welcomed when I traveled to Dallas. Being from the Northeast, I never heard of the term “Buba” untill I met Tony. If I asked Tony a stupid question he would reply, “Who ties your shoes in the morning Buba?”. Or the first time he traveled to Pennsylvania to work with me I picked him up in my car which was a station wagon and he said “Driving your wife’s car Buba?”. Tony is in my thoughts and prayers and I will miss you Buba.

  17. Tony (dear Turtle) was an icon of Kyser. Losing him is losing another part of the Kyser family. He always told me to “get a life” and I will in his memory. Here’s to Tony!

  18. I was saddened to read this news about Tony. I first met Tony when he was charged with training yet another sales person regarding nagivation through the Trend system. Tony was patient with me those couple of days and was always ready to help. My condolences to the family. You are in our prayers during this difficult time.

  19. Tony, I think of you every time I have a “blonde moment”!. Thanks for the fun times you showed me and Gary in Dallas (especially the dancing) and for the great times we had when you were in PA. And, yes, chickens really do grow to be more than 4 lbs. :) I feel very blessed that we became friends and know you will be missed by many! Also know, you will be thought of often my many. Love you and will see you again! Ginger

  20. When I look back at my first day at Kyser almost 9 yrs ago, the one thing that sticks out the most is Tony!! You will truely be missed Tony. God bless your family.

  21. When I think of a selfless friend, I have to think of Tony. Tony was a very good friend that was responsible for getting me out of a bad situation during a rough time in my life and helping to give me a second chance. Yet he never asked for anything in return. He is the only person I know that could use the word “Moron” as a term of endearment. Thanks for being a part of my life, buddy.

  22. Dear Reid Family, I had the priveledge to know and work with Tony for almost 17 years. His quick wit and English sense of humor kept you on your toes. Tony was a good man with a good heart. We will all miss him. With Sympathy, Eddie and Cindy Hurst

  23. My memories of Tony at work and at play will be greatly treasured by me. He will be missed. Mike

  24. I worked with Tony for 15 years with Kyser Company. Tony’s heart was as big as Texas and it showed every day at work. God bless all. Keith Koenig

  25. Tony was a great friend to everyone here at the shop. We will truly miss him and we will always keep him in our thoughts and prayers. Jeff & Tony Auto Maintenance Men

  26. It has taken me this long just to get over the shock enough to write. Teddy Bear, that’s what he reminds me of. He always made me feel pretty, smart and an important part of the Kyser family. I miss his smile and laughter and gentle way. Rest dear friend until we meet again. JJ

  27. Thinking of you today, 13 years. Miss you still. I found out I would be a father again the night before your funeral. You would like him one of his name’s is after you. But then again you had that gift of liking everyone.
