  8. I entered Tafolla Junior High in September 1969 and Philip Clack was our Coach. He introduced us to his wife and their cheerful and adorable daughter. Coach told us that Aretha+ was her name after the Queen of Soul. Aretha Michelle Clack+ was just 1 & 1/2 years old with a bubbly, playful, and joyous personality. Coach would give us rides home after a game with Aretha+ in the car. The guys loved her and Aretha+ loved us back. Her favorite was my classmate Joe Loredo+ whom Coach made into a great athlete in several sports. Joe+ knew how to be a friend to little Aretha+ and she rejoiced in this attention. It was this connection with teacher and students. coach and team, that shaped Aretha+ into the beautiful woman which she became and thereby blessed many persons. Give thanks for the blessing in the life of Aretha+, daughter, wife, mother, and more. Give thanks for Aretha’s sharing her faith in Jesus and her gifts of education. Give thanks for the life in the Risen Christ our Lord. Aretha+ is now complete and whole in the promise of the Resurrection. Give thanks for mercy and comfort upon the Clack and Hill families. Give thanks each day in the grace of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
