March 13, 1929 ~ January 5, 2021
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Darlene Lasley, peacefully went to
be with the Lord on January 5, 2021, at the age of 91. She was born to Glen and Daisy Smith in Fox,
Oklahoma.
Darlene met and married the love of her life, Kenneth, where they shared a beautiful union of 48 years.
She spent much of her career working at Kelly Airforce Base as a civil service worker, retiring after
serving over 25 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and playing board
games, and always kept her mind sharp with daily crossword puzzles. Darlene was also a member of the
Eastern Star organization .
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts for her elegance, acts of kindness, and
a woman who loved to shop and would do anything for a friend. Darlene and Ken also enjoyed working
at the Eisenhauer Flea Market selling antiques and jewelry for 14 years. She never met a stranger and
friends quickly became family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Daisy & Glen Smith, and her husband, Kenneth Lasley, and her
son-in-law, Colon. She is survived by: her children, Marshlyn Dee Lott, Yong & Bruce Barritt, Patty &
Buddy Pulley, Mike & Ronda Lasley; grandchildren: Shannon Skifter & Abraham Lara, Shelly Skifter,
Brenna & Antonio Rivas, Breanna & Brett McLaren, Brice Barritt, Toby Lasley, Justin Lasley, Matthew
