June 1, 1958 ~ September 4, 2021
David Henry Washington was born June 1, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas to Mr. Charley Samuel Washington and Mrs. Anna Mae Washington. As a young boy David accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of West End Church of the Nazarene. He attended school in San Antonio Independent School District. He was a self-taught (via mail-order training manuals) in small engine/gas engine mechanics and operated a small business in San Antonio, Texas. Despite falling over 25 feet into the Alazan-Apache Creek and breaking his neck which led to a very long recovery, David ordered various music instructional books, taught himself how to play the guitar, and later played in a local westside band named The Soul Benefactors. He was one of the best lead guitar players in town. David loved people, and people loved him. He would always lend a helping hand when needed and often gave his last to help someone in need.
