Donna M. Wells

Donna Marie Wells was born in Summit, Illinois on August 23, 1942 to George Taloff and Estella Mae Short. The Taloff Family including sister Helen Stamps made their way to Vallejo, California. In 1958 she married Richard John Kistle. They had three daughters Clare Weaver, Dawn Refioglu & Staci Peretti.
Donna spent all of her adult years working right up until age 76. She was a long term employee of Mervyns Department store and worked as a waitress and bartender throughout the years in Vallejo, California. Donna was known for her great sense of humor and uplifting personality. She had a great spirit and loved to joke. Everyone enjoyed her company. Her favorite pastime was doing Word Search Books and watching Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channels. Her favorite foods were seafood, chile rellenos, her beloved bag of chocolates and candy and great nephew Jonathan Dodd’s homemade sopapilla cake.
She was a special person who was known for her perseverance and endurance. No matter how difficult the road was ahead of her, her tenacious spirit never let her give up. Donna loved her daughters, her sister and her family, and her extended Kistle Family that considered her one of their own. She will be missed by all who loved her.
She gained her wings October 15, 2021 at the tender age of 79 while staying with her beloved sister Helen & family in San Antonio, Texas.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Dawn Refioglu, Staci Peretti, and Clare Weaver, son-in-law Ilhan Refioglu, grandchildren Dalan & Daver Refioglu, Jessica Weaver, Nichole Johnson, Ashley Peretti Granados, Chance Peretti, and four great grandchildren, sister Helen Stamps, nieces Debbie Stamps and Virginia Sharp, great nieces Katie Dodd and Sheena Crawford, great nephews Jonathan Dodd, Dustin Crawford & Terry Crawford and four great great nephews and nieces and the entire Kistle Family.
Her daughters would like to thank her sister Helen, niece Debbie, great niece Katie & great nephew Jonathan for welcoming her into their home with open arms for the past 19 months. This time was a gift and blessing for us all. Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

Donna, it is so hard to write to you, and way sooner than I would have ever thought. I know you are an angle looking down on me, and you are with the Kistle family in Heaven. Please help to watch over the Kistle’s still on earth. You understand, we all need that, right? I remember the first time Richard brought you to our house, you were shy, beautify and nervous. Ginger and I were happy to hear you were marrying our brother, it would help with boy to girl ratio. Then we really got to know you and love you like a big sister. Donna you taught us things only a big sister could. You are so special to us. I stayed in touch over the years because I wanted you to always be in my life. You know, once a Kistle always a Kistle is the way I think. Donna I will never ever forget about you, I will always miss you. I will always I Love you as a sister. Mom what a journey your life has been. For me the past 19 months have been the biggest gift and blessing. I’ve enjoyed our Monday calls and being a part of your everyday life. I’m so grateful for this time with you. This time together has brought us so many laughs because you’re a joker and a comedian and now so many tears because I will miss you. Our mom leaves us with a Heart that smiles with the thought of her also there is the pain of not having her here with us any longer. Auntie, I’m just lost for words. We have enjoyed every minute of you here with us, just wish we had a bit more time. You have been a joy and lots of laughs. My sister, I’ve enjoyed our last 19 months together, just wasn’t long enough. I will miss our conversation and our laughs about the old times. I still look over on the couch and your not there and it’s hard. I couldn’t have asked for a better little sister. I’m sure your up in heaven with Tom just having a good ole time. You were very much love and we enjoyed every minute we had with you in Texas. Aunt Donna, the memories I have of you put a smile on my face and happiness in my heart. You were a kind, gentle, and warm person. My fondest memories were getting to see you when we would go to Mervyn’s. We were always excited to see you, and you were always so happy to see us. I remember you always looked so sharp, so well-dressed, standing tall and slender with such pretty shiny gold jewelry with your hair done so perfectly. You were beautiful inside and out. Donna I just picked up the rag we called the Times-Herald only to see your obituary. I am saddened beyond words that you have left us. I thoroughly enjoyed coming into the Blue Rock when you were working to chat and be able to buy your end of shift cocktail. We had many great conversations and I will miss you terribly !
