Edward Johnson III

Edward Johnson III, affectionately known as “Scooby,” entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2021. He was born on February 3, 1970 in Lubbock, Texas to Mary Alice George. Scooby grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and later moved to San Antonio where he held various positions such as a custodian with Lackland, and his last position as automotive technician with Jiffy Lube. In Scooby’s spare time, he enjoyed playing video games, and keeping up with the latest releases. He always looked forward to a visit at the game store. Scooby is preceded in death by his mother, Mary George Hyson. He is survived by his loving step-father, Marshall Hyson Jr., his sisters, Tammie Fontaine and Danell Johnson, step-brothers; Kevin Hyson (Marian) and Keith Hyson (Odessa), Michael Hyson, step-sister, Michelle Hyson, and numerous close relatives and friends. It is with great sadness we see Scooby off, but he will be cherished in our hearts forever. A Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 5:00-7:00pm at MeadowLawn Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00am at MeadowLawn Funeral Home. Interment will be in MeadowLawn Memorial Park.
