Edward "Red" Lee Collins, passed away the morning of October 14, 2019 peacefully in his home located in San Antonio, Texas. He was born July 5, 1940 to Hulan Sr. and Lillie Mae Collins in Austin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hulan Sr. and Lillie Mae Collins; son, Darrell Collins; siblings, Eugene Collins, Anthony Collins, Hulan Collins Jr. He is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter; 2 sisters; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Red was a graduate of Fox Tech High School. He retired from Turbine Support after over 20 years of service. While working at Turbine Support he became an entrepreneur running one of San Antonio's oldest black owned businesses. He is known as one of the "best DJ's in town" Red was a real jack of all traits. He could build houses, repair cars, electrical repairs etc... You name it. He cherished his children and enjoyed frequent trips to Johnson City. Edward "Red" Lee Collins was a wonderful soul and will be dearly missed by so many.
