Elijah C. Crummie Jr., went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2021, at the age of 76.Elijah was born to Elijah and Emdella Crummie Sr. (deceased), August 8, 1944, in Galveston, TX he was the only child born into this union. At an early age Elijah met his wife Shirley R. Jackson, after parting ways they reconnected and married, June 30, 1973. He was an authority on the CB, talking from coast to coast with the call handle “Purple Thunder” and “1233”. Elijah was very skilled at Trash talking. Elijah worked and retired from both Scurlock Oil and GulfMark Energy in the oilfield. Elijah leaves a legacy of love with those left to remember him, his cherished family. His devoted Wife, Shirley R. Crummie; Daughters & Sons in Law: Gwendolyn Robinson (Kenny) of Bryan, TX; Petrena Brown (Glenn), Ka Rhonda Crummie (Leo Mellieon II); Son: Michael Crummie of San Antonio, TX; Grandchildren: Lucretia Taylor (Dexter), Robert Dabney (Deceased) of Bryan, TX; JeCoy Crummie of Dallas, TX; Kristofer Chandler (Amber), Damien Mellieon, Jonathan Elijah Mellieon (Deceased) of San Antonio, TX; Great Grandchildren, Asiah Taylor, Xachary Taylor, Khalib Taylor, Ayanna Chandler, Jerimyah Crummie Taylor; Cousins who were like sisters and very special to him: Velma Nash of Corona, CA; Arlene Davis of Minneapolis, MN; Linda Ivory of Fort Worth, TX. and a host of family and friends.
