On the morning of Tuesday, January 12, 2021 Eliza M. West departed this life to enter an everlasting life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James W. West; her parents, Thomas and Century Williams; daughter, Michelle Williams and her sister, Dorothy Edwards. She leaves to cherish her memory her three beloved daughters; Valerie Williams (Samuel), Elaine Williams-Brooks and Zina Benjamin; nine grandchildren, Paul Williams, Alfred Spencer, Kim Owens, Reggie, Christopher, Ansley and Angel Benjamin, Bryan and Brandon Brooks. She also leaves to mourn five great grandchildren and a host of relatives, family and special friends.
Eliza was known as Mama Taye to most, she'd never met a stranger. Eliza was a spirit filled anointed woman. A nurturer, so soft-spoken and kind, and a rock for many. She lived her life praising the Lord and she praised him until she took her final breath. We are all so grateful that she left us with knowledge, wisdom and the most unforgettable memories.
