Emma M. Garibay, age 77, was born May 13, 1941 in Yoakum, Texas, to Jose and Concepcion Martinez. She passed away, surrounded by family, in San Antonio, Texas, March 11, 2019. She was a dedicated mother right up until her final moments. Throughout her life much of her free time was spent gardening. She was also a huge San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys fan. Often, 2 or 3 times a week, she would play bingo close by her house. Emma especially loved to travel with her sisters. They would vacation, most times, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she would go to the casinos and hit the slot machines.
Emma is survived by her children, Ruben Madrigal, Roland Rodriguez, Ray Rodriguez, Concepcion Gonzalez, Jesse Garibay Jr., Robert Rodriguez, Ralph Garibay, and Rene Garibay; Siblings, Angie Medina, Hortencia Mendez, Juan Martinez, Mercy Garcia, and Maryhelen Scott; beloved pet, Lucky; with numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
