Frances Martinez Cabrera passed away at Brook Army Medical Center with family by her side on December 22, 2020 at the age of 75. She was born on August 8, 1945 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and became a Naturalized Citizen of the United States of America in 1979. Frances married the love of her life on November 24, 1963, and was happily married for 57 years. She was a devoted and proud U.S. Army Captain’s wife and loving mother of two. She was also a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother who was affectionately called Momo, Little Momo and Nani. She enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially to the Holy Land, where she visited 3 times with her husband. Frances happily shared her faith and love for the Lord and prayed for everyone in her life. She always put God first and loved Him above all else, and in her very gentle way, reminded her family to do the same. Frances leaves behind her loving husband, Jose G. Cabrera Jr, Army Captain (Retired), her son Jerry Cabrera, and his wife Rachel, from Deer Park, Texas, her daughter, Tricia Graham, and her husband, Jerry, from Schertz, Texas, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: sisters, Mary (Tony) Saldivar, Josie (Ruben) Diaz, Chris (Silvestre) Trevino, Lupita (Geraldo) Perez, Maggie (Joe) McDonald, Connie (Adrian) Villarreal, Ester (Raul) Flores, Julie Glee, Alicia (Jesse) Cardenas, and Yolanda (Javier) Hinojosa, and her brothers: Juventino Marty (Margaret) Martinez, Guadalupe Martinez, Tony (Kathy) Martinez, Ramon Martinez, Johnny Martinez, and Joe (Irma) Martinez. She is preceded in death by her sister Terry Garcia, her mother Juanita B. Martinez and her father Juan C. Martinez.
