Frances Bragdon-Thayer

frances bragdon-thayer
Frances Bragdon-Thayer December 21, 1927 August 28, 2012 With the kindness, courage and grace that she embodied, Frances Thayer departed this life, filled with hope, on the evening of August 28, 2012. As a young woman, she left Texas Women's College, and abandoned her dream of becoming an artist, to marry and raise a family. When the marriage ended in divorce, she entered the nursing profession to support her children, eventually becoming a Registered Nurse, expert in a number of therapeutic techniques. Upon retirement, she returned to her first passion, which evolved over the ensuing years into an invention capable of expressing the rich and delicate compassion of her character. She is survived by four children, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and the beauty of her being in pigment and stone, the depth of her love in memory. For friends and family who would like to make a donation in the memory of Frances Thayer to non-profits that were dear to her heart, please make donation to Chapel in the Cove.

  2. We loved our little Franny, and we felt loved by her. We’re so glad to have met such a genuinely good, kind, beautiful person. Her loss has left a big void. She loved her family, and we love you all, too. Franny’s OK. She’s in Heaven.
