Gayle D. Williams

Gayle Demetria Gant lovingly known as Gigi passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on February 13, 1962 to Robert H. Gant and Barbara Jean Harris Gant. Gayle grew up in Gary, Indiana where she attended Holy Angels Elementary School. She graduated from Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, Indiana in 1980. She belonged to a host of academic and social organizations during her formative years. After high school she attend Purdue University, Louisiana State University and the University of Houston, where she pursued studies in political science. Gayle received numerous awards and certificates for her dedicated civilian military service. Gayle was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert H. Harris and her paternal grandmother, Sara Dodd Gant. Gayle is survived by her parents, Robert H. Gant and Barbara J. Gant; her children, Aaron Michael Williams, Adrian Marcel Williams and Arielle Morgan Williams all of San Antonio, Texas; her sister, Kellie Dionne Gant of Crown Point, Indiana; her beautiful grandchildren, Keyonna and Keyera; her loving niece, Kaidyn and doting nephew, Kai; memorable uncles, Robert H. Harris of Portage, Indiana, William A. Harris of Merrillville, Indiana; special aunts, Rhonda M. Crossfield-Thompson of Houston, Texas and Nadine Asberry, of Gary, Indiana; inimitable cousins, Brandon Crossfield of Houston, Texas, Anthony Asberry of Dallas, Texas;most loving and dedicated grandmother, Elnora Harris of Gary, Indiana and a host of other relatives and friends.
