George M. Huth

George Michael Huth was born Oct. 9,1950 in San Antonio, TX to Robert Louis Huth and Bessie Lea Zinsmeister, the 3rd of seven children. Being a blended family, George is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Augusta Huth , and Bessie and Harold Zinsmeister. George is survived by Aunt Rosemary Holbrook, and brothers and sisters-Roberta Orchard, William Joseph Huth, Charles Thomas Huth, Steven Patrick Huth, Timothy Gerard Huth, Jeanette Lindsey, Annie Henry, Bertie Cheney, Patricia Thomason, and Peggy Zinsmeister. George was single and had no children but dearly loved his many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He graduated from St. Louis High School in Castroville, TX in 1968. He spent 21 years employed at EG & G Automotive Research and retired at an early age. George was a life member of the NRA. He joined The American Sportsman Club and traveled throughout the USA pursuing many hunting, fishing, and other sporting events. He enjoyed both fresh and saltwater fishing,and was a skilled bow hunter as well as an excellent rifleman. He loved nature and animals, enjoying the majestic beauty of the places he traveled. George spent 3 years studying the martial art of Kenpo Karate, earning his white, yellow, orange,purple, blue, and green belts. He spent many hours in the movie theaters and built up a video collection that numbered around 5000. In 1994, George moved to Pipe Creek, Tx. to help care for Dad and Annie Huth in their declining years. He was a devoted son and loving brother. George became very active playing bingo and made many friends at the American Legion Halls located in Bandera and Lakehills, but his favorite was Friday nights at the Pipe Creek VFD games. He was extremely lucky and was crowned "King George" many times. Thanks to all who welcomed George wherever he went. Thank you to the Bandera Nursing and Rehab. staff for all your care, kindnesses, and compassion during George's final years. Plans for a celebration of life are pending, and a private interment will be held at the Pipe Creek Cemetery where "he wanted to be next to his Dad under the big oak tree". His laughter, warm smile, and love for all will be missed. Rest easy, dear brother, your work on earth is done. Now, George travels on to his next great adventure.....
