  1. George and I served together in the 1st platoon of Company A , 2nd Battalion , 12th Cavalry Regiment in Vietnam 1969. He was seriously wounded and semi conscious on May 18th and was medevaced out. I was wounded on May 19th and medevaced out also. On March 23, 2013, he left a post on the 1st Cav Association website wanting to know what happened. I responded and filled him in and had a phone conversation and several email exchanges with him in 2013. Glad I could help him fill in the voids. He enlisted after high school and I was drafted after college. I remember him as the young blond somewhat “cocky” kid always upbeat and committed to serving his country. Rest in peace sky trooper! “Kap”

  2. George,

You are the man! I met George when I was a graduate student at A&M-Corpus Christi. He was my neighbor. We slowly built a great friendship. He was not primed on meeting people from the apartment. We would always go to Sirloin Stockade for Steaks and the buffet. He was my first friend in Texas. I remember is laugh and always telling me that when I made it big, he would finally charge me for gas.

George, you will always be with me. I hope you are singing and dancing up there and will see you again.
    James
