Gloria G. Recio

New Years Day 1948, welcomed the precious life of Gloria Recio. Gloria went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 27, 2020 with her husband Leonardo and her son Leo at her bedside. She was born in Edinburg Texas and lived in the area for most of her childhood going to school and graduating in 1966 from Brownsville High School. Gloria married soon after high school and began a family. She loved spending time with her family and showed her undying and unconditional love to her children all her life through the sacrifices she made. Gloria was active in church and was a member of the international women’s group AGLOW, where she volunteered her time to support and help women and their families in low income neighborhoods. She enjoyed traveling and visiting family and was very independent until she fell ill with Parkinson’s disease. Gloria was loved very much and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Gloria Recio will always be loved and will never be forgotten. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Leonardo Recio; children, Juan Recio, Leonardo Recio, Jr., Noemi Mercer and Monica Sul; sister, Janie Garcia; grandchildren, Bryan Mercer, Branden Mercer, Marissa Mercer and Eric Mercer, Jimmy Garza, Issac Garza and Mary Garza; great granchildren, Ryder Mercer and Lucas Mercer. Her son, Pedro Recio preceded her in death.
