  1. Dear Robert, Emilie, Dorothy, Susan, and the Family of Jimmy Coffman, Wanted to let you know that Mike and I both had known Jimmy (Crazy) for up to almost 40 years and both loved him dearly. We had so much fun with him and will always remember. He was such a fine man. We will miss him so. The service was very nice. We will keep you in our prayers. Your sadness will hopefully be replaced with good memories very soon. Love, Mike and Mary Ann Dugi

  2. I was confirmed with Jimmy Coffman at the former Bethany Church on 611 E Myrtle. I have many fond memories of our Confirmation class, especially the touch football games on the lawn between the church and the manse and our Confirmation “party” at Landa Park in New Braunfels. I specifically recall Jimmy standing up on one of the paddlewheelers and we all thought he would fall in the water but he did not. Since I was also an avid sports fan, we always enjoyed discussing that topic. I also recall that Jimmy was always a kind person at heart — it is sometimes hard to tell with boys who tease each other but he was. I am saddened by his loss because I enjoyed our conversation during one of my visits to Bethany a couple of years ago. However, I am glad to have had the opportunity to get to know him and to share part of my childhood with him. May his family feel God’s presence in their lives.
