June 18, 1962 ~ August 28, 2019
James L. Clark, age 57, passed away at his home in San Antonio on Wednesday,
August 28, 2019. He was born on June 18, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas to Willie
Clark and Bettye J. Hubb. James graduated from Highlands High School. He went
on to graduate from the University of South Florida with a degree in English with a
concentration in Technical Writing. James then went on to earn a Master’s degree in
Pastoral Studies and a Master’s of Divinity from Liberty University. On December
18, 1993, he married Tammy V. George. Together, they had one son and two
daughters. James and Tammy enjoyed traveling together as well as spending time
with family. James was an English instructor at Harlandale Middle School where he
made a difference in the lives of teachers and students. Some of his favorite times
included spending time with his children and grandchild, watching PTI (Pardon the
Interruption) with his spouse, and reading.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Tammy; daughter, LaToya, son, Pharaoh, daughter, Jaelynn; 3 brothers, Joe, Johnny, Jeffry (Catina); 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. An informal memorial gathering celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 10am to 12pm at Meadowlawn Memorial Park, 5611 E. Houston., San Antonio.

Mr. Clark was the sweetest man in the world he’s smile and positive energy would brighten up the room. I work with him for the 2 years as the custodian at the school, but the whole first half of the school year i always had a new name but he’s favorite name to always call me was norma even tho my name is nichole but he for awhile we made a game out of it until one day he finally got it right. Im going to miss you Mr. Clark.
