Jesse James Galloway, Jr. was born in New Bern, North Carolina on June 1, 1954 to Jesse James Galloway, Sr. and Fannie Beard. He attended schools in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Highlands High School where he was member of the ROTC. Jesse loved cars, traveling, all kinds of music and going to the gym. He was a particularly sharp dresser and took pride in his appearance, even when it was casual. With his flair for style, he always received compliments. Jesse was the owner of Midtown Cocktails on the East Side and enjoyed every minute of it. On March 25th he proudly celebrated his 11th year anniversary as the owner. Anyone who knew Jesse, knew he had a big heart and was not afraid to show some of his tough love. Jesse was a headstrong businessman that earned and deserved respect. He held food drives for the San Antonio Food Bank, Battered Womens Shelter, helped several charities and was involved in his community. On June 16, 2017 SAGE presented Jesse with the Eastside Pioneering Spirit Award. Jesse Galloway, owner of Midtown Cocktails, has gifted the Eastside with not only an upbeat environment, but also frequently employs and donates money to struggling Eastside residents. Midtown is truly a pioneer in the Eastside community, continuing their proud support through thick and thin. (Published in the SAGE website) Jesse is preceded in death by his father Jesse James Galloway, Sr.; brothers, Michael Galloway and Anthony Galloway. He leaves to cherish his memory; his mother Fannie Beard Galloway; his step-father James Hayes; children Cheree Antoinette Galloway-Thomas, Jesse James Galloway, III, Lucretia Domonique Galloway; brothers Tony Galloway, Sr. and Billy Galloway; sisters Patricia Greenwood, Sheila Dwiggins and Fayteria Ballard; grandchildren Raven Lee, Fredrick Lee, Jr., Diamond Jamice Lee, Jarquees Galloway, Jessica Jamese Galloway and Angelie Mariyah Campos; great-grandchild Jaquarius Jordan; numerous relatives and friends.
