Johnny Ray Franklin went to be with the Lord April 30, 2021. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Johnny Ray Craig Sr. and Sandra Franklin. Johnny is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Henry Franklin and Ola Lee Franklin and his father, Johnny Craig Sr. Johnny accepted Christ at an early age at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church under the direction of Reverend John Dennis, pastor, who preceded him in death. He later started going to a number of churches on the east side. Johnny played football, basketball and ran track in middle school . He went on to attend Highlands High School and enrolled in ROTC. He then graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1992. Left to cherish his memory are his grieving mother, Sandra Franklin Manley; stepfather, Frederick Manley; brother, Dedtric Franklin; grandmother, Annie Mae Taylor; uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of brothers and sisters on his father's side.
