Josephine A. Alvarado was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the age of 66. She was preceded in death by her son, Felix Alvarado, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Felix Alvarado, Sr.; children, Christina Duarte-Luna (Ruben), Annette Duarte-Mora (Fred), Celina Alvarado, Vanessa Alvarado; grandchildren, Alyssa Luna, Ashley Luna, Natasha Mora, Kaile Mora, Selena Rivera, Jesse Reyes, Jr. and other numerous relatives and friends.

I’ll never forget the first time I saw Josey. She was 18 years old and she was stunning, wearing the latest in fashion at the time. She turned heads everywhere she went. Her beauty continues to this day through her daughters and granddaughters. She loved music and often hummed to her latest favorite song. She had a photographic memory recalling details and phone numbers effortlessly. She had a love for talk and until the day I die, I will hear voice saying: “Really Rosie?” I will miss her, her laughter and her recall of memories past.
