Judy C. Davis August 7, 1945 - November 4, 2019 Judy C. Davis was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, a gift to her parents Earl Vernon and Ruby Walton Crockett, on August 7, 1945. She was baptized at St. Paul C.M.E. Church at a young age where her grandmother, Marshall Crockett, made sure that she was active in all of the children's activities. The family moved to Austin, Texas when Judy was eight-years-old where she attended Rosewood Elementary School and Kealing Jr. High before she graduated from the "old" L.C. Anderson High School in 1962. She received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Texas Southern University before she began her career as a teacher in the Houston Independent School District. She subsequently taught in Fairbanks, Alaska before moving to San Antonio where she taught at Crockett Elementary School until she retired in 2008. Judy was very active in New Jerusalem Church Family, serving as President of the choir and on various other committees. She died on November 4, 2019 at PAM Specialty Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. Judy is survived by Marvin Earl Davis, Sr., her loving husband of 41 years; two sons: Marvin Earl Davis, Jr and Gregory Davis; one daughter, Tanya Davis, 7 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also survived by three sisters: Lois Parks, Bonnie C. Simpson and Peggy McClennan; and one brother, Joseph Crockett.
