August 23, 1964 ~ March 2, 2019
On Saturday March 2, 2019, SSG Kevin Maurice Green heard the Master say,
“servant, thou has been faithful, come to take your rest.”
Kevin was born on August 23, 1964 to the parentage of John Thomas Green and
Mattie Lauria Green at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia.
Kevin graduated from James S. Rickards High School in Tallahassee, Florida. After
graduation from high school he joined the United States Army where he served
for 22 years retiring in 2012. Upon retirement, he resided in San Antonio, Texas.
Precious and loving memories are left with his children: Brandon Butts-Green,
Andrew Lewis Green (Angelique), Roberta Tapia (Mario), and Shavon Martinez.
His grandchildren: Nicolas Martinez, Genesis and Elijah Tapia, Serenity Hinojosa,
Jeremiah and Julian Carreon, San Antonio, TX. His sister: Michele Green Simpson,
San Antonio, TX. His aunts: Ezell Moore, Madison, FL and Lottie Hadley,
Tallahassee, FL. His uncle: Robert C. Lauria, Jacksonville, FL; a host of family
members and friends.

There’s not many people like Kevin, always a gentleman and always kind. Like a brother to my sister and I. No doubt I will see him again, until then Kevin you will be truly missed.
I’m very sad to hear Kevin has passed. I haven’t known a kinder person in my life. Rest in peace my friend and go with god.
