Larry Donnell Morrow was born on May 13, 1954, in Pine Bluff Arkansas. He was the only son and eldest of five children born to Irvin and Catherine Morrow. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age, attending Sunday School and baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church. He joined Bethany Baptist Church under Reverend C.J. Bias and grew up on the Westside of San Antonio, Texas in the Crown Homes neighborhood. He was lovingly referred to as Morrow, graduating from Edgewood High School in 1972 and attended Tyler Junior College on a football scholarship. Larry Morrow honorably served his country with integrity and dedication as a Cook Supervisor (Chef) at SAMMC, Wilford Hall Medical Center, and The Army Residence Community Facility, providing meals to thousands of active duty military, retirees, and their family members. He loved to cook, play bid wiz and fish but his passion was for his hometown sports teams the San Antonio Spurs, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Morrow. He is survived by his father, Irvin Morrow; sisters, Carol Thomas (Greg), Pamela Hill, (Richie), Patricia Morrow and Lisa Morrow (Torin); his children, Clayton Morrow and Chelsi Yates (Phillip); granddaughter, Harper Yates; Aunts and Uncles, Joyce Willingham (Lee), Sandra Pierce, Marilyn Morrow, Jimmy Jarrett, Curtis Morrow, Victor Davis along with nieces and nephews Joy Whigham, Jamaal Thomas, Darren Flowers, Amir and Simone Malcolm.

  1. Not sure if this is the same, Larry Morrow that I went to Lincoln on the far Westside are not, but if it is my sincere condolences go out to his entire family. I will keep you all lifted up in prayer.
