Lizzeth Vargas, 39, went to be with the Lord February 20, 2021. She was born May 30, 1981 to Pedro and Sylvia Ruiz in San Antonio, Texas. Lizzeth was one of three children. Growing up with two brothers, she was known as a “tomboy” and enjoyed climbing trees and playing outdoors. She was fun, adventurous and always tried something new. Lizzeth never met a stranger and quickly made friends who became like her family. Lizzeth met the love of her life, Richard Vargas, in the 7th grade. They married soon before graduating high school and started a family of their own and had five children together. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved them whole-heartedly and always pushed them to work hard and pursue their dreams. Her love and beautiful spirit will always be remembered by her family and friends. Lizzeth is preceded in death by her father, Pedro Ruiz. Left to cherish her husband, Richard Vargas; children, Richard Vargas Jr., Ariel Vargas, Marisol Vargas, Xavier Vargas and Aris Vargas; mother, Sylvia Ruiz; Brothers, Pedro I. Ruiz and Sergio Ruiz; father-in-law, David Vargas Jr.; mother-in-law, Olga M. Vargas; and brother and sisters-in-law’s, Jacob Vargas/Naomi Vargas, David Vargas III/Masi Vargas and Justin Jehle/Jessica Jehle; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

  3. I had the honor of meeting Mrs. Vargas through my son, as he and her daughter Ariel Graduated together. She was so very nice and a great mother. I only wish we had more time to get to know each other better. You will be deeply missed but always in our heart’s.

Expecting to see Lizzeth to be walking around the concourse dressed up wearing her cowboy hat and boots with her husband Ricky. My dads song was “Cowboy Rides Away” when he passed.
