lorena silva
Lorena Esmeralda Silva was born on July 25, 1965 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was quirky, funny, and loved to spoil her nieces and nephews. Lorena worked as a nursing assistance and later as a medication aide for the majority of her career in the medical field. She was compassionate and loved the residents she worked with. She would often volunteer to work extra shifts when the facility was low on workers. Lorena was a big sister who took the role seriously often helping to care for her younger siblings as a teen and young adult. Growing up she never shied away from the sacrifice that took to ensure things ran smoothly. Lorena loved eating out, Tejano music, George Straight music, and dancing of course. She is survived by her mother, Concepcion Ortiz, siblings Melva Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Lupita Ortiz, Yesenia Moreno, Maria Ortiz and over a dozen nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her grandparents, Nieves and Maria Garcia, her aunt Melva Garcia, and her younger sister, Norma Ortiz.
