January 11, 1961 ~ August 6, 2017
Lori McIver Davis Jackson returned to her heavenly home on Sunday August 6, 2017. Lori was born January 11, 1961 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Lori was very devoted to her love of Jesus Christ and her family. She was a strong woman and never let her lifes circumstances bring her down. Trust in the lord and he will provide all my needs, as she would say. That would always keep her in good spirits. She would always put others before herself because she would say, I want to be Christ like. Lori used many sayings to get her through the day and night and this is what made her so special. Lori was grateful for the life she was given. When I think about the goodness of God and what he brought me out of I open my mouth and give praise to God, was what she lived by and this strengthened her devotion to the bible and Christ. The most important thing she emphasized was how important having a prayer life was to her and for her family.
Lori provided a shoulder to lean on for her family and others through the years. She was always eager to help others. She loved cooking, so not only did she provide a shoulder to lean on or a listening ear, she would prepare a home cooked meal for you as well. She fed a lot of people her delicious meals.
The challenges in her life taught Lori the importance of having faith in the Lord. She was an amazing mother, sister, wife, grandmother, friend and of course, cook. However, the responsibility God gave her as "Mother" is the title she was most pleased with and which she shall receive her greatest trophy.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, James Turner and Betty Jean Jackson, brother Jon Eric Jackson, and sister Angela K. Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Shanelle Jackson and Tasha Davis; sons, Calvin Davis and Clayton Davis; sisters, Shelli Jackson and Cathy Harsch, brother James Jackson, eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
