Margaret Ellen Allshouse

Margaret Ellen Allshouse (Maggie) currently of Universal City, Texas, was born on April 8, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois to Jacqueline Hoffman and Lother Heckel and grew up just across the border in Wisconsin. She was the youngest of six children (Michael, Mark, Mary, Martin, Matthew, and Margaret). She met her husband Michael James Allshouse (Mike), of Youngstown, Ohio, on September 12, 1986 in Minot, North Dakota on his first day of assignment to Minot Air Force Base. Maggie was living with her Mother and Step-Father, Allan Hoffman, at the time. They dated for a year when Mike was then assigned to Osan Air Base in the Republic of Korea. They stayed in touch throughout that tour and then Mike returned to the states in December of 1989. Finally in 1991, Mike and Maggie re-united in Enon, Ohio while Mike was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. On 14 August, 1993 they wed and now have four children: Patrick Michael (Punkin), Veronica Lizabeth (Lisbeth) (Baby Doll), Michael Gunther (Sweet Pea), and Sara Dorothy (Boo). Being a US Air Force family, they have lived all over the world to include Ohio, Mississippi, Alabama, Guam, Turkey, Virginia, Nebraska, and Texas and have traveled to even more locations on multiple continents. Maggie has been very active in the communities she has lived in and has been recognized for her work to include being the 14th Flying Training Wing's Spouse of the Year, the 39th Wing's nominee for the prestigious Joan Orr Air Force Spouse of the Year, she has been commissioned as a Yellow Rose of Texas by the Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, has had proclamations passed in her name by the Guam Senate and the Village Council of Inarajan and has received personal letters of encouragement from various dignitaries to include former President George W. Bush. Maggie is survived by her husband Mike, her children Patrick, Veronica, Michael, and Sara, her mother Jackie Hoffman, father Lou Heckel and his wife Carol, brothers Mike, Mark, Marty, and Matt Heckel, sister Marybeth Unger, her niece, whom she considered a daughter, Meegan Fiedler and her family, husband Eli, son Nic, and daughter Kiki, and her nephew, whom she considered a son, Christopher Heckel and his children Taylor, Abbigail, and Ashley Heckel, and Kylee Schneider. She is also survived by not-her-daughter Drew Carrington, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws all whom meant the world to her. Maggie will always be remembered as a giver and never a taker as all she ever wanted to do was to help others. She will be deeply missed by family and friends alike but our loss is heaven's gain as we are sure she is serving her world famous cheesecake up there right now.
