Our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, Maria Isabel Saldana, entered in to eternal rest on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the age of 75. She was born on June 6, 1945 to parents: Antonio and Delfina Martinez. Maria was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and later migrated to San Antonio, Texas. She met and married the love of her life Jesus Saldana in 1962. They raised seven beautiful children together. Maria Isabel was a stay at home Mom . Later in her life attended Cosmetology school, and became the family hairdresser. She loved family get togethers, sewing, making barrettes for granddaughters and family friends. Her grand/ great children brought her so much joy. She loved music, watching western movies, the San Antonio Spurs ,and she adored her dog Mija. She had an infectious spirit of love that she always ensured her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren felt despite any obstacles she encountered throughout her life. She professed her life to Christ at an early age. The strength she possessed was just unmatched. She remained a faithful servant until her final days. Although our hearts are heavy without her presence, her legacy of love will forever be cherished as she will be deeply missed. Maria Isabel is preceded in death by her father, Antonio Martinez, and Her Sisters Linda Martinez and Rosie Davila and Her Husband Jesus H. Saldana. She is survived by her mother: Delfina Martinez, her children: Jesus the 3rd, Jose Antonio, Juan Andres, Tammy Lynn, Liza Lorraine, Jeremy, Isabel Marie(18) grandchildren; (16) great-grandchildren; siblings; Yolanda Cantu, Diana Gonzalez, Antonio Martinez and Beatrice Castro and a host of several relatives and dear friends. The Saldana family would like to thank everyone for your love, support, and prayers during this time of bereavement.
