Maria "Mary" Martinez

maria martinez
Maria "Mary" Martinez was born, March 17, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas, to Francisco and Elvira Macias. She passed away in her hometown, May 11, 2018. She got her education in San Antonio attending Stonewall Elementary, Southcross Middle School, and had a great amount of "Indian pride" as a graduate of Harlendale High School. After her schooling, she would find work at a local Luby's for a few years and eventually move on and become a cashier for The Army and Airforce Exchange Services for over 20 years. Maria had an enormous ego that could only be matched by her enormous heart. She was a self proclaimed model and race car driver. And she absolutely loved her red Nova. She was a proud mother who loved her family and will be dearly missed by many. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Elvira Macias; siblings, Elisa Garcia, Tony Macias, Elias Macias, Carlos Macias, Francisco Macias Jr., and Elvira Villarreal. She is survived by her sons, Francisco Martinez and Roland Martinez; siblings, Augustine Macias (Estella), Julia Rosas, Juan Macias III, Joe Macias (Angie), Luis Macias (Teresa), Enrique Macias (Deborah), Gregoria Flores, and Jesus Macias (Rebecca); also Lorenza and Olga Macias; with numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
