Maricela G. Cruz

Maricela Garza Cruz, age 65, passed away July 25, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to parents Rosendo Garza Tellez and Dolores Pantino Garza January 12, 1954 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico Maricela graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1973. She went on to study nursing at San Antonio College but then chose to pursue a career at USAA. After 37 years of service, she retired in 2012. Maricela met her husband, Johnny, in 1984 and married in 1985. Together they raised four children. She loved her family and devoted her life to her children. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, baking, and caring for her pets. Maricela is survived by her husband, Johnny; her children and their significant others, Samantha and Arthur, Johnny Jr., Michael and Dafne, and Luis and Nina; her granddaughter, Charlie; her brother Juan and sisters Guadalupe, Bertha, and Maria, plus many nieces and nephews. All of whom she loved and cared for deeply.
