May Rosa Neloms (Keel) battle with cancer ended on February 3rd, 2019. Born in 1953 in Fort Lauderdale, FL to Joe and Truveta Keel, May Rosa wed Edgar Neloms in 1972. She and Edgar subsequently relocated to San Antonio, TX to raise their family. For over two decades May Rosa worked as a crossing guard for the San Antonio Police Department. She also worked as a daycare assistant at Stephanie Angels; subsequently retiring from the Davis-Scott. Y.M.C.A. May Rosa liked good food, loved her clothes, and socializing with people. She also enjoyed challenging Word Finds puzzles and the I.D. Channel. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Left to remember her love and cherish her memory are her husband, Edgar Neloms, Sr.:, her three children, Edgar Neloms Jr, Roxanne D. Neloms, and Chaka K. Neloms: her grandchildren, Sankofa Ray, Malika Neloms, and Arya Slater, and her brother Willie Keel of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Family, friends, and others are invited to celebrate May Rosa’s life with a Memorial Service on February 9th 2019 at 3:00pm at Meadowlawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Mays Cancer Center- UT Health Science Center in May Rosa’s Honor.

  7. My heart sanked today when I heard of the death of Mrs May. When I worked out at the Y we shared many conversations. I so enjoyed talking to her, she was such a nice and kind lady. We laughed together about many different things. I missed her when I heard she had retired. Rest in Heaven my Dear Friend . My sincere condolences to her family . Donna Watts
