Ora Lee Priestly

Mother Ora Lee Priestly, affectionately known as "Nee" and "Big Mama", was born July 6, 1921 to the late Horace and Lillie Luckey in Bond's Colony, Texas. She entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 12:30 PM. Mother Priestly joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Henry W. Priestly on January 16, 1940. She was educated and grew up in Bond's Colony and the Seguin area. She worked in many positions, including home health care and the laundry department at the Guadalupe Valley Hospital. Mother Priestly was a faithful member of Refuge Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ for many years where she worked as a Willing Worker and an Usher. She later moved her membership to Antioch Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in San Marcos to support her son's ministry. She worked as a Missionary and President of the Usher Board. She was elevated to an Honored Missionary Mother status. Mother Priestly returned to Greater Refuge Church following the death of her son, District Elder Willie Priestly. She continued to serve as an Honored Mother in the Missionary Department. She remained faithful until her demise. Mother Priestly was preceded in death by her husband, Minister henry Priestly; two sons, Leander and Willie L. Priestly; daughter-in-love, Joyce Priestly; sister, Mrs. Rosa Turner; four brothers, Willie Dan Luckey, Jimmy Luckey, Horace Luckey and John Luckey. She leaves behind to cherish her memory four loving children, Charles Priestly, Josephine Dolford (Marion), Jean Galimore and Howard Priestly; one special daughter-in-love, Estelle Priestly and one specail son-in-love, Marion Dolford. Additionally she leaves 22 grandchildren and a host of great-grands, great-great-grands, nieces, nephews and four sisters, Ms. Ethel Luckey, Ms. Dorothy Luckey, Ms. Geraldine Stewart and Ms. Thelma Harris
