Patricia Ann Jenkins

Patricia Jenkins was a God fearing and devoted mother, grandmother (Nana), friend, and sister-friend. The late Reverend George and Viola Blackman were blessed with Patricia on June 7, 1952 in Del Rio, Tx. She was their only child.
Patricia graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, Texas in 1970. Following high school, she attended San Antonio College for 2 years. While attending college she met her future husband James Jenkins. Patricia and James were married for 35 years. Out of this union, they were blessed with their only son, James Jenkins II.
Patricia accepted Christ at an early age while being a faithful member at New Hope Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas where her father was a minister. In her later years, Patricia became of member of Breakthrough SA Church and served as a devout member until her homegoing.
Patricia was truly a gift to everyone she met. She had a vast network of friends, with many of her friendships spanning decades. Philippians 4:13 reminds us that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Patricia was a walking reminder of this word everyday of her life as she faced many health and personal battles with a confidence that she knew the Lord was going to carry her through.
Traveling was Patricia’s passion. She enjoyed new experiences and spending time with her friends. Patricia also loved shopping, for herself and anyone else. Her true joy in life was her only grandson, James Christian Jenkins. These two shared a special bond and “Nana” was her favorite title.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Reverend George Blackman, her mother, Viola Blackman, her husband James Jenkins and her aunt Annie Mae Wilson. She is survived by her son James Jenkins; daughter-in-law LaQuanda Jenkins; grandson, James Christian Jenkins III and host of sister-friends and friends.

I was fortunate to know Pat for about nine years. She spoke about her son, daughter in law, and grandson each time I saw her. You could hear her love for them in her voice, and see it in her eyes. We miss Pat at the dealership.
To God be the glory for the great things she has done we know she’s in heaven to James weeping endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning we love but God loves you more be blessed.
Patricia you’ll be missed from our lives but not our hearts. I wish I had more time here on earth with you but heaven gained an Angel.
