  1. Mike, We are so sorry to hear of your Dad’s death. Mark had kept us informed of his failing health. We know he was a proud and strong soldier to the end. We have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless you. Sincerely, Bonnie and Dick Turek.

  2. Paul, Donna, Mike & family: I just heard of the loss of your father. My condolances and sympathy to all of you. I have wonderful memories of both your parents and their friendship with our family. They were good friends to the Olsons. What I remember most about your dad, is that he always treated me like an adult, a man, an equal, even when I was just an 8 year old kid next door to you at Ft Sam — or at least he made me feel that way. He definitely liked a good joke, and often poked fun at himself to get the right punch line. More important, it was always evident that your parents respected, trusted and liked each other alot and that family was the number one priority for them. They were lucky to have those feelings for each other. And so were you to have such good parents. All my love to you. Bruce

  3. Though I’ve know Paul for many years, it is only in the last few years that I’ve gotten to know him better. What I do know is that he was a kind and generous man, that he knew how to enjoy himself, that he remained devoted to his wife Ellen, and that he both loved and appreciated his sons. I know he was glad for the life he shared with them all.

  4. I send my sincere condolences. I was just preparing to notify my Uncle Paul that Kathryn”Kate” as he called her, just passed away with my brother and myself at her side, on April 4, 2005. Her recent wish was to make a trip to San Antonio to see him. She became too ill. Ellen, Paul’s beloved wife, was my only Aunt. I had visited him several times prior to her death. The devotion and care he gave her, was monumental. I know how much he missed her. I was always amazed at his youthful appearance and energy in these past several years. He was such a fun person to be around. He and Ellen were very close to my Mother and Father. I only wish I had been able to visit with him when I planned as of recent. Life is fragile and never to be taken for granted. The peace I have is that now Paul is with Ellen, as my Mother is now with Robert. Most Sincerely, Deborah
