  5. Hey there Richard,

First and foremost we would like to say is that, it was a great pleasure getting to meet you and Kathy these last five months. When we first met, all four of us sat on yall’s porch talking for hours of the idea of becoming neighbors. And then it became a reality… We would see each other from across the way and holler ” how bout them cowboys”!! And instantly “thou shall love thy neighbor” showed from yall to us, and us to yall.. an instant friendship developed in all of us.. as the time passed and you were no longer out and about doing all kinds of work in the yards and so forth, we never in a million years felt that you would not recover from surgery, and we only thought that it was a matter of healing and time that you would be out and about sooner than later.. Day after day, I (angel) sat every morning with you n kathy, just talking, trying to make just a little light of your day n help crack a smile because I was certain that you were on your way to the Richard we first met. I guess it was my faith that made me believe you would be ok. And I honestly believe now that you are no longer with us that our heavenly father needed you with him in heaven. We are grateful to him, to know you are free, he took you home and released you from everything that ever caused you pain. And we promise you this right here and now, We will help you watch over Kathy and Brutus and forever help take care of them… We consider yall more than neighbors, we are family… we love you and will always keep you in our hearts and prayer..

P.s. help out them cowboys to the playoffs for us real Dallas Cowboy fans!!! :*)

    Until we see you again,

    Will & Angel Hemphill

  6. i am 4 years too late, but i didn’t know you were gone my friend. You were a true friend. You taught me how to drive and hauled me around all over Sinton. Last time i saw you was in 1990. I never got to meet your new family and hope one day I can. I will be more than happy to tell them stories about their dad and his big heart.
