Robbie Gentry

robbie gentry
Robbie Lee Gentry was born to the union of Minnie Lee Heard and Jimmie Walter Lee Heard Jr. in San Antonio Texas ,on April 5th,1942. There she went to public school, graduated ,and soon after went to St. Philips College ,to become a nursing assistant. She worked for the Downtown Baptist and Bexar County hospital for many years. She later met and was united in Holy Matrimony to George Lee Elmo Gentry Jr. The couple remained faithfully united until George's demise. Robbie Lee was a woman with lots of love to give. Her biggest joy was taking care of her family and others. Robbie Lee's door was always open to provide a roof over anyone's head , and a home cooked meal for anyone in need. She always had the best leftovers too, so even when just dropping by -she pointed you in the direction of the kitchen. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, sewing, gardening, and had the best remedies for ALL of your needs... She was a woman that everyone could count on and was always ready to lend a hand( She had a lecture for you first though so get ready(haha)) One thing about Our Robbie Lee is she kept it real! All in All- you knew she had your back and was going to be there for you no matter what so you had no choice ,but to want to listen(she was going to say whatever she wanted to say loud and clear anyways(haha)) She probably didn't say what you wanted her to say or how you may have wanted her to say it, but it was always something you'd need to hear and that's what made her so-One of a kind!! She set us straight and sometimes her words hurt, but they were the words we've cherished the most in our lifetime. We miss your finger licking meals from scratch ,especially that good ol'brown gravy ,and those mouth watering cakes our baby. We miss your bold, sassy, and loving personality. We can't help but to miss those big hugs and sweet kisses our Robbie Lee , but most of all-we miss those ears that listened and those shoulders we've all cried on. Thanks for keeping our secrets and loving us all unconditionally ,our Angel. 1. Robbie was like a second mother to us. She was there for us during the bad times and the good ones! My last vision of Robbie was her sitting on the patio of our house dressed in a white suit and a big smile on her face. It was the day of our Mama’s funeral. Love you always Robbie.
