Robert L. McCartney

Robert Leroy McCartney of New Berlin, Texas passed away on January 7, 2021 surrounded by family at the age of 69. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce McCartney; mother, Billie Marie (Houston) McCartney, father, Jack C. McCartney; brother, Michael Glenn “Gink” McCartney; niece, Katrina McCartney and nephew, Rivers Marley. He is survived by his sons; Eddie and wife Becky Dunsirn and Michael Dunsirn; grandchildren, Trey Dunsirn (Olivia), Hunter Dunsirn, Kerstin Olde (Michael), Alyassa Dunsirn, Shayla Dunsirn, Arissa Dennis and Cody Lawson; sisters, Donna McCartney Rumsey and Margaret McCartney Marley; brother, Jack McCartney; sister's-in-law, Pat Davis Tibbett and Phyllis Davis Moore. Bob retired after 29 years with CPS. He enjoyed all genre of music. He also enjoyed reading, relaxing, going to the coast, Rockport to be specific. His greatest joy was bowling. He bowled 10 pin twice a week and 9 pin once a week. Bob’s wishes were to be cremated and buried with the love of his life. This will be held at a future date along with a Celebration of Life.
