Sharon Gayle Stark
September 2, 1948 ~ December 14, 2015
Sharon Gayle (Fielder) Stark went to be with the Lord on the Monday evening of December 14th. After battling brain cancer for the past year with the utmost strength, she was called home to heaven. She was surrounded by her loving family at the end and will be greatly missed. She was born in Orange, Texas on September 2nd 1948. Sharon enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 09, 1969, where she spent 4 years as a medical technician. She was previously married to John L. White, and lived in NY State for many years where she raised 2 sons and worked as a teacher in an elementary school. After separating from her husband, Sharon moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to be closer to her family in the early 2000s. She spent the next 15 years building a life working in a woman's hospital, where she was greatly valued for her hard work, dedication and spirit. Sharon was strong in her faith to the Lord, always professing the importance throughout her life. She is preceded by her Mother Mina Ruth James, Father Franklin Reeves Fielder, and brother Butch Fielder. She is survived by her children former Army Sgt. John D. White, Air Force SSgt James White and wife Sue White who is expecting a daughter, her first grandchild, due in April. Also survived by her Brothers David Fielder, Doug and wife Rhonda Fielder, Sister Peggy Humble, Cousin Virginia Stark and great Aunt Rose Daniels. Sharon lived a life of faith, patriotism, love and conviction. Sharon touched many lives over the course of her journey, and will be missed by all.
