Mr. Thomas J. Bailey was born February 19, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Thomas and Dora Byrd. He attended the public schools in Wichita and later was drafted into the U.S. Army. He made the Army a career and retired after 22 years of service. Although Thomas is physically no longer with us, his spirit lives on through the many lives he touched. His strength will never be forgotten. His words will continue to encourage. His laughter will remain forever in our hearts. He leaves with us a great legacy of courage, endurance, friendship and love. He will be greatly missed. Thomas is preceded in death by his mother, Dora Byrd. Thomas leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life his wife of 55 years, Shirley A. Bailey; children, Stacey Bailey, Kimberly Bailey and Thomas Bailey, Jr.; 3 beautiful grandson’s, Amarea Bailey, Jordon Bailey and Braxton Bailey and his brother, Lawrence L. Byrd along with a host of other relatives and friends. His Journey Don’t think of him as gone away; His journey has just begun. Life holds so many facets; this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting: From the sorrow and the tears; in a place of warmth and comfort; where There are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing; that we could know today; how nothing but our sadness, can really pass away, and think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost, and he was loved so much.
