Bessie Lea Norris Zinsmeister attained Peace with the Lord on February 6, 2008. She was born June 23, 1926, in Jacobia, Hunt County, Texas to Homer B. and Pearl McWhorter Norris. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Homer Norris, Jr., and a sister Edith Westbrook. She is survived by her children: Roberta Orchard and husband Richard of Frankston, Texas; William Huth and wife Rosemary of Helotes, Texas; George Michael Huth of Pipe Creek, Texas; Charles Thomas Huth of Canyon Lake, Texas; Steven Huth and wife Gerri of Pembroke Pines, Florida; Timothy Huth and wife Betty of Canyon Lake, Texas; Jeanette and husband Daniel LaBauve of Lakehills, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; very dear friend Delores Phillips of LaPorte, Texas; sister-in-law Margaret Norris of Austin, Texas; sister-in-law Marjorie Billings of San Antonio, Texas, sister-in-law Rosemary Holbrook of San Antonio, Texas; an aunt, Lillie Bea Jenkins, age 96, of Grand Saline, Texas; and numerous friends and relatives. A Funeral Mass and Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 9:30 am in San Antonio, Texas, at St. Luke's Catholic Church.

  1. What I really enjoyed was the way Mom made fried chicken in “the majic skillet” and it was always just right. She served it with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy, of course and the aroma filled the house.
