Eleanora M. Blackmon

ELEANORA MAE BLACKMON July 20, 1920 February 3, 2013 Eleanora (Nora) was born on July 20, 1920 in Black Hills Community in Wilson County Texas and passed away February 3, 2013 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 92. She was born to Charlie and Alma Jane (Schneider) Stoeltje of South Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Youra Van Blackmon, her sisters Erna Lee Stoeltje and Rosalie Hudson and her brother Franklin Stoeltje. She is survived by her son, Charles Forsythe and his wife Christina, grandson Eric Forsythe and great-grandchildren Aeon and Amaya; her daughter, Frances Mae Grant and son-in-law Charles, Grandchildren Daniel Grant, Lillie (and Eric) Monson and Bernard (and Donna) Grant; great-grandchildren Victoria, Matthew and Luke Monson, Remington and Drake Grant. She is survived by her sisters, Edna Janszen, Clara Belle Henze and Elsie Herber; and her brothers, Charles, Leon (and wife Alice) and Edward (and wife Cora) Stoeltje as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She lived in San Antonio, TX area most of her life but did have the opportunity to live in Japan, Germany and England during her first marriage (to Francis Church, deceased). She met and married Van Blackmon in her later years and lived in Bastrop County for a number of years. She was loved my many and will be missed by her family and friends.
